Jury finds in favor of H&O client in Coumadin case

On March 4, 2010, a jury rendered a verdict in favor of an H&O client in a lawsuit alleging that a heathcare provider’s failure to administer Coumadin caused a stroke and, ultimatley, the death of a patient. The case was tried by Larry Logback. The defense uniquely focused on issues of causation and damages.

Holbrook to speak at American College of Physicians annual meeting

Reid Holbrook has been invited to speak at the American College of Physicians (ACP) Annual Meeting in Toronto April 22-24, 2010. His topic is “Being an Expert Witness.”

The ACP is the largest medical specialty organization and the second largest physician group in the United States. ACP members include 129,000 internal medicine physicians (internists) and related sub-specialists. Internists specialize in the prevention, detention and treatment of illnesses in adults.
